A salute to VFW Post 3795

We firmly believe that VFW Post 3795 of San Marcos and Virgil Griffin, commander, rate a snappy salute, a handshake or a high-five for their community work.
Consider just the latest effort: a sit-down dinner and an enormous raffle to benefit the family of Scott Eveland. Tireless efforts by the men and women of Post 3795 resulted in a collection of over $6,000 presented to the family Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Post.

Scott’s mom and step dad, Paul and Diane Luth, his brother Craig Eveland, stepbrothers Ronnie and Robert Luth, step mom Rebekah Eveland, myself and Scott’s extended family and friends, continue to be grateful for the phenomenal support during an incredibly difficult, frustrating and trying time.
To see Scott smile is a gift from God.
