The 2007 Haunted Horseman Run went beautifully. Thanks to ALL the businesses that hosted for us along the run.

The destination being the Santa Ysabel Casino, our riders had the opportunity to gamble, have dinner and drinks, or just come in for hot coffee since it was pretty cold on the last leg of the run. Fox News 6 was waiting for us to arrive and the only news media to be present. We thank them for their coverage of our event. KGTV 10 was nice enough to invite me for an interview on Friday the 19th to promote this event. We wish to thank all the volunteers that manned the stations at each location and all the riders that participated.
The most amazing gift of charity was from Ryan Pratt, owner of Renegade Classics, and organizer of the run. This was the third year for the Haunted Horseman Run. Ryan is a friend of mine and is a sponsor of many clubs including Southern Cruisers. In fact he hooked me up with the Cruisers in the first place! Upon learning that Scott is my son, he offered to donate the proceeds of this run towards Scott’s medical bills. I did not ask Ryan to do this. He just did. The really amazing thing is that Ryan pulled this off even while dealing with the death of his own father on the 13th of this month. Bikers Rock!

A salute to VFW Post 3795
North County Times letter to the editor 12-14-07
We firmly believe that VFW Post 3795 of San Marcos and Virgil Griffin, commander, rate a snappy salute, a handshake or a high-five for their community work.
Consider just the latest effort: a sit-down dinner and an enormous raffle to benefit the family of Scott Eveland. Tireless efforts by the men and women of Post 3795 resulted in a collection of over $6,000 presented to the family Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Post.
A bouquet of roses to VFW Post 3795. We are proud to be members of this organization.

Bikers Rock!
Thank you very much to the motorcycle community, AGAIN. Biggs Harley Davidson-San Marcos, played host and collected donations for Scott during the last half of December during their “12 days of Christmas” event. Thanks to the staff and management at Biggs as well as all the “volunteer gift wrappers” that participated. This event was nothing that was requested, the dealership “just did it”.
